July 31 - Your Heart's Desire

In their imaginations, my little grandchildren really are mommies, champion barrel racers, professional baseball players, and wonderful artists. As adults, we need to be like them. What is your imagination telling you that you are? There is still all hope and promise to become your heart’s desire for yourself.

Psalm 20:4 - May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

July 30 - Freedom!

My art project at the Children's
Museum with Miss Baylie.
I think it’s funny when people that don’t know me very well think I must be one of those stuffy, holier than thou sort of people that doesn't have any fun. Well, I'm not one of "those." In fact, I can't get far enough away from "those" attitudes. If people could only see the me inside. I simply know who I am and whose I am and that I have significance and I am loved. There is such freedom in knowing who you are and knowing you were created for a reason. Today – you will experience more freedom than you have ever experienced before, because you will be closer to knowing who you really are.

Galatians 5:1 - Christ has set us free to live a free life. (The Message)

July 29 - Alter Your Creativity Today!

Little guys in their "Kid Cave"
When we bought our Denver home, my favorite part of it was the scraggly confusion of bushes crossing the back of the property. In my imagination, I could see a great series of rooms and tunnels and paths in those bushes – perfect for a fort. Well, grandson Trey saw that, too, and we now have a very refined “Kid Cave” that I imagine all the grands will enjoy. Look at your place and life. What new thing is your imagination telling you about a corner of it? Creativity in a different form will stimulate your creativity in your work and gifts. Have fun!

July 28 - On Target for Greatness!

Cord's prop is a fierce horse!
Sometimes I like to wear a hat when I write. It helps me be more creative. Hey, whatever works! What props help you get into who you were created to be? A latté? A purple colored wall? Your desk organized just so? A little mascara? Those favorite boots? Holy jeans? It’s ok. We are human. Get your prop and now get going into whatever today is bringing. You are on target!

Genesis 1:31 - God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.

July 27 - Signs in the Sky

When you see a rainbow, remember that God promises to keep all of His promises. His answers to us are "Yes!" and "Amen!" He is for us, not against us. He is our greatest cheerleader.

2 Corinthians 1:20 - For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.

Psalm 89:34 - My covenant I will not break; nor alter the word that has gone out of my lips.

July 26 - Fear Not!

When it hails, just think All Hail the Power."
When it rains, just think Rain down your blessings!
When it thunders, just think Thank you that the rain is coming.
When the lightning comes, just think “God you are so amazing!

We need not fear the storms in our life. Fear isnt from God. Rejoice in everything.

Psalm 91 - His faithfulness is a wrap-around shield keeping you from harm. Don't fear a thing! - When we live our lives within the shadow of the God Most High, our Secret Hiding Place, we will always be shielded from harm! (Excerpts from Psalm 91 - The Passion Translation.)
