October 1 - Peace Today

 Just as clouds sometimes cover hills, a cloud is covering your heart – not in sadness – but in quiet beauty – protecting your heart – giving it nourishment and peace.

September 30 - The Meaning of Life

You ache sometimes to know the meaning of life and your purpose on earth. This is good. It is the very thing that draws you into the presence of God. Go with it. Journal about it. The truth you seek is at hand.

Psalm 8: 3-4: Look at the splendor of Your skies,

Your creative genius glowing in the heavens.

When I gaze at Your moon and Your stars,

Mounted like jewels in their settings,

I know you are the Fascinating Artist who formed it all!

But when I look up and see such wonder and workmanship above,

I have to ask You this question:

Compared to this cosmic glory,

Why would You bother with puny, mortal man

September 29 - Got Wanderlust?

You see the birds migrating south and you feel you, too, need to think about going somewhere. But where? God will show you when and where and how. Be open. Be ready.

Genesis 12:1-5 - God told Abram (Abraham): “Leave your country, your family, and your father’s home for a land that I will show you. I’ll make you a great nation and bless you; I’ll make you famous; you’ll be a blessing;  I’ll bless those who bless you; those who curse you I’ll curse; All the families of the Earth will be blessed through you."

September 28 - Take a Deep Breath!

Walk outside and take deep breaths and acknowledge the thankfulness you feel today in just being alive. It is a day to count your blessings.

Psalm 128:2 - You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.

Sept. 27 - Your Smile is Everything to Someone!

Like a wood stove warms a room, so you bring warmth to your surroundings. Your smile changes atmospheres, renewing joy and hope to those who desperately need it.

Proverbs 15:13 - A cheerful heart brings a smile to your face; a sad heart makes it hard to get through the day. (The Message)
