November 20 - Encourage the Young

A young person in your life will pull on your wisdom and need your help. Tell them of their greatness and Who they belong to and they will begin to learn to fly.

Psalm 79:13 - So we, Your people and sheep of Your pasture, Will give You thanks forever; We will show forth Your praise to all generations.

November 19 - Gratefulness is Key

An attitude of gratefulness will spur you on to greater things in your life than you ever imagined.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 - Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.

November 18 - Dance!

There is a glory in this day that is being revealed to you. Rise up. Recognize it. Make others aware of it. Take joy in it. Dance! 

Luke 19:40 -  “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

November 17 - New Things Being Revealed

Go through some old papers today, file, and clean your desk. Something new is being revealed that you didn’t know about.

Deuteronomy 29:29 -  The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.

November 16 - Time to Prepare?

Squirrels are gathering winter food, birds are heading south, bears will soon hibernate. What will you do to prepare for the cold and darker winter months? There is something in nature that will inspire you to find a parallel for your life today.

( I wrote this a month ago. Little did I know our state of Colorado would be in a deep freeze today. Hopefully our wild animals were ready!)

November 15 - Thanks in Every Season

Though late fall may seem a bit drab compared to winter white or summer color, take a moment to find the beauty in its breeze, fragrance, quiet, peace. Every time of the year is its own part of creation – waiting for you to find it and be thankful.

Psalm 107:1 - Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.
