May 6 - Live In Hope...Be A Light!

Always remember that out of the darkest clouds, a rainbow can break through. Out of the blackest night, the milky way bursts across the sky. Sunrises are more spectacular when there are clouds in the sky. Joy is more joyful when the heart has also known sadness. It’s life. It’s your life. You can choose to live in the light and be a light!

Matthew 5:14 - Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven. (The Message)

May 5 - A Colorful Feast

Take a moment to slow down and appreciate a piece of art or poetry today. How does it speak to you? Know that in the way these speak to you, God can also speak to you. His Word is full of color, art and poetry. A feast for the hungry. If you aren’t finding these, ask someone to help you.

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. (NKJV)

John 1:1-9 - In the very beginning God was already there. And before His Face was His Living Expression. And this Living Expression was with God, yet fully God! They were together - face to face in the very beginning! And through His creative inspiration this Living Expression made all things, for nothing has existence apart from Him! Life came into being because of Him, For His Life is light for all humanity. And this Living Expression Is the Light that bursts through all gloom. The Light that darkness could not diminish! (The Passion Translation)

May 4 - Remembering Our Dreams

Children believe they are princesses or firemen or tractor drivers or cowboys and cowgirls when they play. Do you remember what you believed you were when you were little? It quite likely has something to do with your destiny now.

May 3 - Nature And Nature

Some leaves are shaped to curl upward. Some are weeping. Some are quakie. Some offer protection and shade. Others are prickly and sharp. If you were a tree, what would your leaves be like?

Psalm 104:24 - O Lord, what a variety, such diversity; wild and wonderful is this world You have made while Wisdom was at Your side! This world is full of so many creatures yet each belongs to You!

May 2 - Happy Raindrops!

Raindrops keep falling on your head and in your heart. Happy raindrops!

Psalm 104:13 - From Your kindness, You send the rain to water the fields so all the earth can drink it in. You bring forth fruit for all to enjoy.

  

May 1 - Assurance For Today

God wants you to know today that... "it is going to be okay."
