In winter, the
elk herd near where we live gathers in our neighborhood, eating and bedding
down in meadows of dry grass. They know they are safe in this area. There are
no hunters, and laws protect them in this season. Like those elk, you want to
gather your loved ones and feel safe, protected by something more powerful
than you. That something – that someone - is God; and He is right there.
Psalm 73:23 - Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand.
Matthew 1:22 - "...and they will call him Immanuel" (which means "God with us").
