Sirens
and alarms pierce the night frequently in my neighborhood. I feel alarm when
awakened – which is their purpose. But I am trying to remember to turn that
alarm into prayers of peace and protection over the city. I add a prayer for
the families – for healing – for love – for jobs – and for restoration of
