Sometimes life throws
Curve balls
Out of nowhere
We're side-swiped
Surprised
Terrified
Maybe delighted.
The suddenlies of life
Catch us unprepared
How can we really prepare?
When we don't know what
We don't know?
I'm thankful that there is
One who does know.
All I need to do is trust.
And enter the peace
That passes understanding
It's there if I remember.
It's even there if I don't remember.
Thankful.
