January 31 - New Beginnings!

There is a fresh, new beginning that starts today and continues through the next several months. You are ready. Provision and protection are yours from your Father in Heaven.

Ephesians 3:20 - God can do anything, you know - far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. (The Message)

January 30 - Nature Watch

Trees and bushes will begin to show signs of life again soon. Branches begin to turn color and thicken. Buds begin to form on limbs. The earth is beginning to take a deep breath. The turn of the month affects your spirit in a very good way. Breathe deep and revel in the peace that nature is bringing.
Psalm 42:2 - My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. Where can I go and meet with God?  

January 29 - It's Okay To Be Happy!

Jesus was the happiest person in history. Many of us have been taught of his holiness, parables, miracles, and gift of salvation. But we haven’t been taught a lot about His joy. The Kingdom of God is made up of Righteousness, Peace, and Joy! Joy is a third of the Kingdom! God laughs. Jesus joyfully loves. Even King David danced wildly. Today brings a new realm of joy. Even silly joy. Kids know how to do this well. Today, you will know, too. Let go!

Romans 14:17 - For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Hebrews 1:9 - "Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions."

January 28 - Take His Hand

God walked with Adam in the cool of the evening and they enjoyed each other’s company as friends. That’s how God wants to relate to us. Reach out your hand and feel His hand in yours today. Just enjoy Him; converse as friends; rest in His presence.

Proverbs 18:24 - There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

January 27 - Power To Accomplish Much

There is extra power in this day for you to get lots done that is on your to do list.

Proverbs 8:14 - Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have insight, I have power.

January 26 - God Holds Your Hand

In winter, the elk herd near where we live gathers in our neighborhood, eating and bedding down in meadows of dry grass. They know they are safe in this area. There are no hunters, and laws protect them in this season. Like those elk, you want to gather your loved ones and feel safe, protected by something more powerful than you. That something – that someone - is God; and He is right there.

Psalm 73:23 - Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand.

Matthew 1:22 - "...and they will call him Immanuel" (which means "God with us").
