Love. Period.

I have been having some physically painful and emotionally weak times lately - the kind that make you think of things you shouldn’t think about; and the kind that make you believe lies that consume your soul and make you feel unloved and unloving.

But the other morning, I imagined the arms of Jesus wrapped around me, speaking healing to my bones and truth that overcomes lies. The most important truth? It isn’t any of my business what people think of me or if they love me or not. What IS my business, is that I love them. I do have control over that and it's who I am created to be. This was so profound to me…and healing. When I love, I bless others and I bless myself, too.

1 Corinthians 13:13  - Until then, there are three things that remain: faith, hope, and love - yet love surpasses them all. So above all else, let love be the beautiful prize for which you run.

October 27 - It Starts Today!

Like kryptonite to Superman, there are things in life that drain our energy, upset our focus, and make us feel less than. God’s heart is to build you, encourage you, help you, comfort you, bring you joy, give you freedom, and give you a purpose and calling that you will love. Which are you going to give your attention to? Of course - you are going to choose a better way! It starts today. Have fun!

June 26 - No Greater

 “Shower the people you love with love, show them the way that you feel…” – the music and beautiful voice of James Taylor echoed from the towering rocks at Red Rocks Amphithater and made me feel one with humanity. God is singing something like that over us right now. You read it in the Psalms, hear it in music, feel it in family, exhilarate in its joy that you witness in nature. It is a bigger reality than the negative thing that is coming at you. Give the good things your total attention.

John 15:13 - Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.

March 29 - Today - A New Call To Love

To serve the Lord does not mean you are a slave. He calls you friend. He only asks us to do what brings us great joy already – what we know in our heart we were created  for. Few are called into church ministry. What we are really called to is to love – each other, friends, neighbors, the hopeless, the nations. You will find a new way to love today!

Mirth, bliss, joy. You twinkle with them all when you release your laughter and love to people. It’s a day to encourage others with the light and love within you.

Love is the good word for today. You will receive it and you will give it away and it will renew hope.

Aug. 30 - Feeling Loved?

A child – or a pet – will make you feel loved and special. But know that you do the same for them. That feeling is straight from the throne room of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
