June 30 - Your Tapestry Will Help Someone

Just as a tapestry is made more beautiful because of its contrasting colors and textures, so our life is more beautiful as we age because of our experiences – both good and bad, easy and difficult. Look at your life so far. Do you see how your faith has grown? Do you see how you have been loved and protected? Nothing can give you that like experience can. Today you will encourage someone else and they will trust what you say because they see in you the beauty and truth that experience has given you.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good, to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Psalm 92:12-15 - The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, "The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."

June 29 - Get 'Er Done!

What is it you have always wanted to do? To learn? To explore? This is the day to work on that. Take a step. Check out a book. Plan an itinerary. Sign up for a class. Research a possibility. Declare yourself that person that does that thing. I am a writer. I am a photographer. I am brilliant. I travel the world. I have climbed that mountain. I am a realtor. I am a nurse. I am a teacher. I am a brilliant business person. I can build a house. I’m fast. I’m strong. I am going to win that contest. Now get ‘er done!

Psalm 90:17 - May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us = yes, establish the work of our hands.

June 28 - Visit Your Power Place!

There are physical places on earth that have power for us. As a writer, I feel more creative in certain coffee shops, book shops, and parks. As a photographer, my soul is filled on a mountain trail with distant views and the scent of pine. It’s as if the earth and all of Creation are demonstrating their love for you in that place! Where is your power place? Be sure to spend time there and renew your spirit and your sense of purpose.

Romans 8:19 - The entire universe waits with excitement, yearning to see the unveiling of God's glorious sons and daughters!  (The Passion Translation)

Jeremiah 10:12 - It is he who made the earth by his power, who established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding stretched out the heavens.

June 27 - His Sun Shines Upon All

He says to me: "It's going to be okay!"

As a mountain girl now living in a big city, I have been encountered twice by people I'm not used to. It is drawing out a side of me that I thought I had dealt with. How do I respond to their needy requests? Well, I didn't do so well. I responded from fear I think - when I really needed wisdom for discernment. Who do I help? When should I be kind? When do I deny them to protect myself? I know I am to always love and be compassionate. I'm still working on this! Today, God is giving us all wisdom on how to love better and also wisdom on how to discern His heart in a situation.

Matthew 5:44-46 - But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? (NIV)

Matthew 5:45 - This is what God does. He gives his best––the sun to warm and the rain to nourish––to everyone, regardless...(The Message).

James 1:5 - If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

June 26 - No Greater

 “Shower the people you love with love, show them the way that you feel…” – the music and beautiful voice of James Taylor echoed from the towering rocks at Red Rocks Amphithater and made me feel one with humanity. God is singing something like that over us right now. You read it in the Psalms, hear it in music, feel it in family, exhilarate in its joy that you witness in nature. It is a bigger reality than the negative thing that is coming at you. Give the good things your total attention.

1 Corinthians 13:13 - And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

John 15:13 - Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.

June 25 - Forward Momentum

Days pass and with them, time marches on in our lives toward purpose, life changes, education, new relationships. You are sensing that now. Instead of resisting it, accept it with grace and assurance that your Papa in Heaven is with you at every moment, every step of the way. Like your best fan, he is cheering you on to greatness – and picking you up and dusting you off when you stumble. It’s all part of His divine plan for you. He’s so excited!

Matthew 1:23 - ...they will call him Immanuel" (which means "God with us").

Psalm 46:5 - God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.

Psalm 37:24 - Though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.
