August 1 - Can You Hear?

Have you heard God talk? Graham Cooke says the Holy Spirit has a wonderful sense of humor. “His humor is often wry, dry, and full of irony and then it is audacious, infectious and hilarious.” I experienced this once when I had to make a big decision about attending ministry school for a second year. I had asked God what I should do and wouldn’t budge on my decision until I was sure I heard from Him. One day, sitting outside on my apartment, I heard a voice in my imagination say “You’re only half baked and I need you well done.” Whoa! I don’t say things like that or even think things like that. I knew right away it was God’s answer. And it was funny! Today He is speaking to you, too. Can you hear Him? He will help you with your decision if you ask Him for an answer.
