"Reach Out!!!"

"Reach out!" the voice shouted and, startled, I woke up. I went to the kitchen where the clock on the stove read 3:33 a.m. I know from  past experience that this was a significant moment. God wanted to show me something.

His message was for me - in my insecurity as a person. This might be for you, too.

Are you someone who sometimes sings a different tune; marches to a different drum; dances to the off-beat; dreams a different dream? Me too.

I felt like God was telling us He loves who He has made us to be; and He's about to give us something huge to share with others in this time. We feel it. But sometimes it's crowded out by busy-ness or self doubt.

This is why He shouted, "Reach out!" God is calling for us to reach for His hand and hold tight. He will bring us through as we keep stepping forward...and He will never let go.

I'm ready for the new adventure. Are you?

Isaiah 41:10 - Do not yield to fear, for I am always near.
Never turn your gaze from me, for I am your faithful God.
I will infuse you with my strength and help you in every situation.
I will hold you firmly with my victorious right hand. (The Passion Translation)

What if God Truly Is Who He Says He Is?

I was wondering this morning what it would be like going through life with someone you couldn't lean on; someone you didn't trust; someone you knew didn't love you but only pretended to be there for you; someone you felt stuck with, imprisoned by, and hopelessly destined to stay with.

I am so thankful for my husband who totally fits the bill of everything positive a husband and lover should be. But there is another person I am even more thankful for. Someone who tells me not only in the Bible, but in life experience and the creation around me, that I am loved; I can trust him; and I can lean on him in trouble and in joy.

He calls himself a kind father-daddy-papa; friend; healer; my creator; wisdom; helper; my strength; my hope; comforter; my peace; good king; lover of my soul; provider. He says it. I believe it. He has been these things and more to me. If you have not experienced who he is, don't live another day in hopelessness, but ask him to show his true self to you and be open to listen.

Who has God been for you?

Isaiah 41:10 - So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

September 11 - Fear Not!

Fear is not from God. When it appears – negate it with a promise from God. Declare “no weapon formed against me shall prosper.” “I am the head not the tail.” “God will supply all my need.” “God is my strength and my shield.” “He covers me and places me high on a rock.” “He is my protector.” “There is an army of angels surrounding me.” Today, you are reaching new levels of boldness and strength. Go out and conquer your world!

Isaiah 41:10 - So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
